This week I have been playing with my dies and on Wednesday the new Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine was delivered and WOW what fab. stamps from Indigo Blu were free with this months magazine...so I incorporated them with this die cut card.

Beautiful Flowers

Here we have the outside and insert of a commissioned card that I made for a customer. I have used vellum for the flowers which I found at the back of my card stash and I love the embossed effect on the flowers.

For the same customer I used a flower stamps again with some Terresa Collins paper and made an anniversary easel card.

Hope that you are all well and have a fab weekend.

Happy blogging

Messing with Mica

How lovely to see a bit of sunshine and its so warm as well....puts a smile on our faces. This week I have been playing with Mica powders for a class that I am running on Tuesday. I do love this medium, it is so versatile. Mixing, adding and painting with them. I decided to use them in a few different ways on these cards, the first colouring my paste and painting and the second on black glossy card. The pictures actually do not do the mica's justice.
Hope you are all enjoying your weekend and have a great week.

All girls together and mystical thoughts.

We had another busy week at the Kraft Kabin and made some lovely cards in our craft clubs. I also got round to taking a photo of my daughter Chloe's birthday card, from the beginning of the month. I have been playing with my Gelli plate using my new JOFY stamps and then today I had a play with my new Lavinia stamps...just love these. Hope everyone has had a good week and enjoyed the couple of days sunshine we have seen. Have a wonderful weekend.

A work in progress

I am working on this project at the moment for my sister who was 40 last year. Its a bit late..but as they say better late than never. I have got some pictures of the project as it is at the moment. The front is nearly completed and the side..........

I used just a blank picture frame from the Range and took the glass and back bit off so that it stuck nice and flat onto the front of the box.

I then stamped and distressed the picture to go into the frame

I added lots of texture and embellishment to the front.

 This is the side panel.

Hope you like it and all have a lovely weekend.

Thank goodness its the weekend

I cannot believe the amount of rain we have had in the last few hours....I know it is not as bad as the terrible rain fall in the South West, those poor, poor people it must be very frightening. We have been very lucky here but things are not looking good this evening.

I re-did the acetate stepper card today, the one I did earlier in the week, but the picture was very bad. I am so much happier with this card than the last one (pictured below) would love to hear what you think.

Hope you all have a not to wet weekend....keep safe and love to all.

Oh my what a week.

Well this week has been another hetic one. I also had a trip to the dentist which wasnt very nice. I was feeling very sorry for myself last night as I had to have a 'deep clean' so I was numbed up - both sides, cleaned up and couldnt talk for the next three hours!!!!

Apart from that, I have started the first two of my wedding orders for this year. I will post on here once the date has lapsed, a couple of commissioned cards and a card for our craft club - please see below.

Craft club card which was a hard picture to take as the accetate reflects off the camera.

New baby card with a 'woodland' feel.

A Happy Birthday Sister card for a bespoke order.

I hope you have all had a good week.

Its the Weekend!!!!!!

I hope that you all have had a great week. Even though the weather has been terrible, apart from this afternoon which was lovely and such a nice change to see the sun!
Here is a few of the projects that I have completed this week. Hope that you like what I have done and I love to hear all your comments, so thank you in advance.

An 18th card and glass for my daughters friend...the glass was really sparkly so the picture really does not do it justice.

My youngest daughter's friend from the stables also had a birthday this week so we did a photo of her new horse on the front of the card.

With Valentines Day nearly upon us we did a special Valentines heart card a craft club this week.

Two more home deco projects for my home...the blue one for my bedroom and the pink one for my bathroom.

These cards were for a bespoke order, new born twins for the parents, grandparents and Uncle. Really pleased with the way these came out. Digi prints from the Digi Boutique.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Busy week being creative!!!

Had a fab week this week, the shop has been a bit quiet so I decided to do a bit of crafting for me!!! have had a fab time and here are a few of the bits that I have made. I have added a sneaky little picture at the end of these of my daughter and the latest addition to our family....his name is scooby and he is adorable......

This is a card for my nephew who is 5 very soon...The image is a free digi stamp!!

This is the card that I did for our craft club on Wednesday...the theme was
pretty, pretty, pretty.

I wanted to use some beautiful buttons that I recently purchased. This picture does not do them justice as the larger ones are glittery in the centre that you cannot see on the picture. This will be going up in my kitchen as a family keepsake.

Very proud mummy moment when my youngest daughter got a first in her 'showing show' and this is the new addition to our family....what a gorgeous boy....

Hope you all have had a good week and not to depressed with the weather.

Keeping it simple

I decided this week to get right our of my comfort zone, again.....I love grunge so to do something clean and simple is a challenge for me. I decided to keep it clean and use just the one colour with a splash of gold and grey.
Hope you all have had a good week....lets see what we can create for next week......

Would love to hear your comment.

Its that miserable time of year.

I think this has probably got to be one of my most favourite cards that I have made to date.
I love the fact that the colours are so vibrant and that it just lifts your mood in this
dark and miserable January......

Hope you are all having a good week.

Sunday, 18 August 2013

I recently made this keepsake for the mother of the bride to give to her daughter on her wedding day. Now that the day has passed I felt it safe to post. I really like the shabby chic feel to this.

This started off as a wooden plaque and layers of card was added, being torn and distressed first with the last layer with the printed recipe.

Going to have a blog hop now, cant wait to see what everyone has been up to recently.

Saturday, 17 August 2013

Well its been a busy week in the Kabin, we ran both our craft clubs with the Christmas card I showed last week and it went down a storm. Both clubs had 10 people on and I think this satisfied everyone! Today I ran a Christmas Countdown workshop with one of the Tando kits. So pleased with the outcome and so were the ladies that came along. Let me know what you think....

I used Tim Holtz distress inks and Acrylic paints with a little stickles to finish things off.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.
